Directions: Sled riding hill at Hickory Hill Park, located in the northeast part of the city. Access is a couple hundred yards from south seventh avenue.

Comments: The earthen dam side that faces north has a broad terrace in the middle thats a perfect place for a jump. The creek and manhole on either side at the bottom are far enough away, but one should be mindful of them.

County: Johnson City: Tiffin Property: Public Permission: Yes
Designated Sledding Area: Yes Turf: Grass Texture: Smooth & Bumpy Crowds: Some
Slope: ~35 degrees Length: ~500-600 ft. Easily Accessible: Yes Nearby Parking: Yes
Hazards/Obstructions: None Video: None Photo: None Submitted By: Jim, 3-5-2007
Directions: Sledding hill at Kent Park. Kent Park is 3.5 miles west of Tiffin on Highway Six.

Comments: Parking is at Bob White Pavilion. The pavillion at the top of the hill has a place for a fire. The hill faces West and has a small lake at the bottom. Sledders that make it over a maintenance trail about 575 feet down the hill can go over a drop-off and slide across the lake when the ice is frozen. Stopping at the terrace (maintenance trail) isn't difficult, as alot of sledders stop here naturally anyway.

Comments: Parking is at Red Cedar Lodge. The county maintained a rope tow and the lodge was open for a couple seasons more than 30 years ago, but not any longer. Currently, theres a pretty nice warming shed with a place for a fire at the bottom of the hill. A grove of Pine provides a widbreak and a two sided hill. The hill faces NNE, has posted rules that disallows jumps, has no obstructions and is pretty long, wide and fast.
