Comments: There is a small space for parking, but only about 2 or 3 cars can fit there. There are plenty of sledders, and it is a FAST hill. A bit too scary for the younger ones. But big kids: hold on to your hats!

County: Johnson City: Overland Park Property: Business Permission: Yes
Designated Sledding Area: No Turf: Grass Texture: Smooth & Bumpy Crowds: Large
Slope: ~60 degrees Length: 200-300 ft. Easily Accessible: Yes Nearby Parking: Yes, (See comments)
Hazards/Obstructions: None Video: None Photo: None Submitted By: Michelle, 12-4-2005
Directions: Sledding hill off 435 and Metcalf in Corporate Woods. You can see the hill from the highway. The business there allows sledding.

Comments: Hundreds of sledders on a snow day! Longest, steepest, fastest hill I've seen in a long time. It is very hard to walk up though, and although there is ample parking, you do have to walk a short distance to get from the lot to the hill. Be careful, there is a street at the bottom of the sledding hill.

Webmaster Note: A lot more Kansas City area sledding hills that were not posted to this site via the normal submittal form, but rather found elsewhere on the web have been posted on the sled riding forum Kansas section here. The same list was also posted under the Missouri section on the forum due to KC being between both states. If you find that any of the sledding hills located on that forum list have not previously been posted under the Missouri or Kansas state pages of this website, then please submit it along with all of the hills details via this for here. Thank you in advance.

Comments: This is an awesome hill. The parking is generally ok because you can park along the side of the roadway, although sometimes you may have to walk a bit if there are crowds. It does tend to get crowded sometimes, but its a large hill so its usually not a problem.
