Directions: Sledding hill at the Sandpit behind the North Yarmouth Memorial School in North Yarmouth, Maine.

Comments: Parking availible at the North Yarmouth Memorial School, and the sandpit is a quick walk along a path through the woods behind it. The hill, when covered in snow, provides a steep and exciting sled ride. Several jumps have been constructed by local sledding enthusiasts. There are a few trees on some parts of the sledding area.

County: Cumberland City: Gorham Property: Private Permission: Yes
Designated Sledding Area: No Turf: Grass Texture: Smooth Crowds: Some
Slope: ~50 degrees Length: ~300-400 ft. Easily Accessible: Yes Nearby Parking: Yes
Hazards/Obstructions: None Video: None Photo: None Submitted By: Dylan Sargent, 12-22-2008
Directions: Located on Route 114 in Gorham, right next to Mighty Rpad. You turn right on Mighty Rd., and the hill is right in front of you on the left. You will probably see the hill before you see the sign for the road. The only parking is on the side of the road, but there's plenty of space. So you drive North on 114, take a right on to Mighty Rd, park on the side of the road, and the hill is, i guess you could say, on the corner of 114 and Mighty Rd. Can't miss it. It is about 4 miles from Gorham center.

Comments: Mighty Hill is a great sledding destination. Parking on the dirt road at the bottom of the hill. Mild crowds on snow days and weekends, usually not too bad. Jumps are made by locals every year. Just an all around fun, but large and tiring to climb, hill for some winter time fun.

County: Cumberland City: Windham Property: Private Permission: Yes
Designated Sledding Area: No Turf: Grass Texture: Smooth Crowds: Some
Slope: ~40 degrees Length: ~200-300 ft. Easily Accessible: Yes Nearby Parking: No
Hazards/Obstructions: None Video: None Photo: None Submitted By: Dylan Sargent, 12-22-2008
Directions: Sledding hill right next to the Cumberland County Jail on River Road in Windham, don't worry though, it's quite safe.

Comments: Many students and parents can be found there on any given snow day or weekend. A few sledders and snowboarders build jumps there every year. Although there is limited parking, it's a great place to get out and enjoy the snow.
