Directions: Sledding hill at the Sandpit behind the North Yarmouth Memorial School in North Yarmouth, Maine. Comments: Parking availible at the North Yarmouth Memorial School, and the sandpit is a quick walk along a path through the woods behind it. The hill, when covered in snow, provides a steep and exciting sled ride. Several jumps have been constructed by local sledding enthusiasts. There are a few trees on some parts of the sledding area. Directions: Located on Route 114 in Gorham, right next to Mighty Rpad. You turn right on Mighty Rd., and the hill is right in front of you on the left. You will probably see the hill before you see the sign for the road. The only parking is on the side of the road, but there's plenty of space. So you drive North on 114, take a right on to Mighty Rd, park on the side of the road, and the hill is, i guess you could say, on the corner of 114 and Mighty Rd. Can't miss it. It is about 4 miles from Gorham center.
Comments: Mighty Hill is a great sledding destination. Parking on the dirt road at the bottom of the hill. Mild crowds on snow days and weekends, usually not too bad. Jumps are made by locals every year. Just an all around fun, but large and tiring to climb, hill for some winter time fun. Comments: Parking at the top of the hill. I started going here as a kid and now enjoy taking my kids here.
