Directions: This sledding hill is at CCBC (800 South Rolling Road in Catonsville, Maryland). We also had another submitter submitting a sledding hill at the same time stating that there is a sledding hill "near CCBC prior to entering the campus!". I don't know if these are the same, so I've decided to post them both here under the same posting.

Comments: The first submitter stated "There are a few trees on the sledding hill, but they can easily be avoided. There is a parking lot on top of the hill (and others around campus too). The hill is a bit steep but not hazardous. It is located in front of parking lot 2 and to the side of building Q."

County: Baltimore City: Loch Raven Property: Public School Permission: Yes
Designated Sledding Area: Yes Turf: Grass Texture: Smooth Crowds: Large
Slope: 45 degrees Length: 300-400 ft. Easily Accessible: Yes Nearby Parking: Yes
Hazards/Obstructions: None Video: click video camera for video of sledder on hill (Via YouTube) click video camera for video of sledder on hill (Via YouTube) Photo: None Submitted By: Phil, 1-30-2011
Directions: Very easily accessible via GPS (just enter Loch Raven High School). The address is 1212 Cowpens Avenue Baltimore, MD 21286. Alternatly, I-695 to exit 29, turn left at light a the end of either exit ramp (from north or south) school will be 1/4 mile on left. Turn into second entrance about 1/4 mile past school... Park in the EAST lot...

Comments: Obstructions: Very little in the way of natural obstructions, to the far left of the sledding area there is a basketball court and a single tree...but this only accounts for less than 5% of the total sleddable terain. General Info: Generally, immediatley following a significant snowfall, or possible during it if it is a long snowstorm, many people will visit the hill, mostly families, but after 8pm the place starts to get over run with teenagers and young adults who may bring beer and foul language. While I never found it to be too annoying, some uptight people may...you know who you are!!!
