Directions: The name of the place is Dead Horse Valley. It is general public land. From Nantucket town, head west on Main st. When you come to the civil war monument, turn left onto Milk St. Milk street, will fork, follow it to the right, as the left street, is one way. the next street you will come to, is Prospect, take a left onto Prospect. Take Prospect, until you see New Mill St. This is the left fork, but past Prospect, it is two way. The people on this street however, do not like traffic going up and down their street, so go past New Mill, and make a right onto Mill St. take Mill up a short hill. At the top of Mill, turn left onto Mill Hill Lane. Mill Hill, will become a country lane, after #11. on the right hand side, app. 20 yards past the house, you will see four white Public Way markers. You have arrived.

Comments: Dead Horse, is very popular amongst the local teens and kids. The slope starts out gentle, then becomes somewhat steep. There is another Hill on the other side, with some back trails, and other stuff, but soon, you enter peoples property. The other side, is very steep, and is for minor skiing.
