Directions: Ok - you have to pay - but tubing at Snow Snake is very cool. Easy to get to - just off 10 between Clare and Harrison. Comments: And since they have a tow line, you don't need to trudge back up the hill - just sit on the tube and get pulled up. This is a great place to schedule a group event for the kids. Fun for those older kids (AKA adults) too. More info at http://www.snowsnake.net/faqs.php. |

Directions: Sled riding hill located at Cascades Park near S. West Ave in Jackson. It is easy to find with signs leading to the park beginning on I-94. Comments: It is a very popular sledding hill, and is probably one of the best in Southern Michigan. It has ample parking at the bottom of the sledding hill. The main hazard is the number of people who use it on a snowy day. The hill is mostly terraced, so sledders can choose the length of the ride. from about 30 feet to about 200. At the top of the sledding hill, the angle is pretty steep (perhaps 70 degrees?), and is used by the more daring sledders. |
