Directions: Sledding hill in the town of Beech Mountain on the main road (Hwy 184) from Banner Elk next to the police station.

Comments: The property is owned by the city and is for children 12 and under only, but adults can sled with the children. There is parking across the street and public restrooms. The hill is less than a mile from the ski resort. They make snow for the sledding hill when there is none. The hill is supervised and the rules are enforced. There is a pretty good pizzeria across the street. Best of all, the sledding is FREE!
