Directions: Sledding hill located in Dormont, right next to Dormont Pool And Dormont Park. Comments: The hills parking is directly at the bottom. On one side, the hill is a nice, easy slope for younger kids. On the other end of the hill, it goes nearly straight down. At the steepest end, there is a dumpster at the bottom. Hitting it could badly injure, or kill you. Directions: Sledding hill at far end of Knob Hill Park (from entrance). Comments: Parking at a small lot at the bottom of the hill. There are a few trees about halfway down that are at the top of a mini-jump that is naturally in the ground. There is also a road at the bottom of the sledding hill, but it is only a park access road and is not heavily traveled and the speed limit is only 15. A pavilion at the top of the sledding hill has a nice place to take a break and allow people to relax with each other. Directions: Runs are part of 4th and 5th holes of Doylestown Country Club, 401 Pebble Hill Road & Green Street. Comments: Could be the best sledding hill in SEPA. Being the son of a long time member, it is accepted that the public sled here. Park on Golf Course View Drive or in lot of OLMC School when there are mega crowds. There are 2 basic runs here. The left one which is steep but shorter has man made moguls to content with. On the back side of one in particular is a 5-6 foot drop. When it's packed down...big time air. The other run to the right is wide open, longer and has a sand trap at the bottom. Exiting this trap one faces a 3 foot drop at maximum speed. Lips are built up on both of these features and when it's slick and hit right there could be pain! Directions: Part of the Beech Mountain Lakes/Quail Hollow residential/timeshare complex. It is a private, gated, guarded facility, however, the restaurant (Lakeside Lounge) is open to the public, you will get a special Visitors Pass to go to the restaurant. After entry, go down Edge Rock Drive until it ends, then make right on 4 Seasons Drive. At end (before you go down the hill to the restaurant), you'll see the hill to the right, it is a small abandoned ski area that was never completed. Comments: There is limited parking by the laundry facilities next to the hill. Top of hill has great views of lake and area; most younger sledders only walk halfway up the hill. Great conditions/speed.
